ABOUT SHEREKA
After surviving dating violence and sexual assault as a teen, Shereka's life was turned upside down after losing a close family member to domestic violence in her mid-twenties. The unspeakable pain Shereka endured gave her the strength to pursue a life of educating others about the dangers of relationship violence and the need for prevention education. Shereka's purpose led her to a volunteer opportunity at a local domestic violence and sexual assault victims services agency in 2013. In that same year, Shereka started a life coaching practice after receiving certification from the Life Coach Institute of Orange County. Shereka concluded 2013 by publishing Proceeding from Pain to Purpose: To Embark on Your Destiny Workbook.
Currently, Shereka spends most of her time with her husband and two children when she is not working as a Rape Prevention and Education Coordinator at Durham Crisis Response Center. Shereka recently graduated with a Master of Social Work from Boston University, a degree she adds to her Master of Human Resources and Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. In addition to her educational attainments, Shereka is a Certified Financial Social Worker, Board Certified Credit Consultant and a Certified Credit Score Consultant.
